Where to Stay

Along the way, we settled into three distinct stays—each offering its own version of coastal Italian magic. In Amalfi, we were perched above the sea, with lemon trees overhead and boats dotting the horizon below. Near Portofino, we found charm tucked between lush hills and harbor views, where elegance meets ease in the most effortless way. And in Porto Ercole, we slowed down completely—surrounded by stillness, salty air, and the kind of understated luxury that lingers long after you leave.

Amalfi Coast Hotels

Miramalfi: A cliffside escape where every room feels suspended above the sea, offering panoramic views, crisp modern design, and a seaside pool deck that makes it hard to leave for anything but limoncello.

Casa Angelina: A serene, all-white haven in Praiano where minimalist design meets sweeping sea views—offering a sense of calm, light, and quiet luxury high above the Amalfi Coast.

Villa Treville: A secluded cliffside retreat in between Amalfi and Positano, where cinematic history meets coastal elegance—once the home of director Franco Zeffirelli, now a boutique haven of lush gardens, sea-view suites, and timeless Mediterranean glamour.

Santa Caterina: a historic Art Nouveau villa perched on the cliffs of Amalfi, offering timeless Italian elegance with terraced gardens, sea-view rooms adorned with Vietri tiles, and a private beach club accessible via a glass elevator.

Experiences Along the Coast

Some moments from the Italian coast simply deserve to be shared—so here’s a glimpse at a few favorites that truly captured the spirit of the trip. From hands-on pesto making in Portofino to cruising the stunning Amalfi coastline and soaking up the sun at a beach club, these experiences brought the region to life.

Pesto Making in Portofino: Tucked into the cliffs of Portofino, we learned to make traditional Ligurian pesto at La Gritta—crushing fragrant basil by hand with a mortar and pestle, just as it’s been done for generations, all while overlooking the sparkling harbor.

Yacht Cruise Along the Amalfi: We spent the day gliding past pastel villages and dramatic cliffs on a private yacht, diving into turquoise coves and sipping spritzes under the Mediterranean sun—Amalfi, at its dreamiest.

A Day at the Beach Club: An unhurried day by the sea—sun loungers, chilled rosé, fresh seafood, and a soundtrack of waves and laughter. Italian summer perfected at the beach club.

Why We Love Argentario

Staying at a property like LA ROQQA or Il Pellicano opens the door to discovering the true magic of Argentario — a uniquely captivating stretch of the Tuscan coast. Beyond the breathtaking sea views and quiet luxury, this special island invites you to explore charming nearby towns and hidden gems. A visit to Antica Fattoria, with its authentic Tuscan flavors and warm hospitality, is an absolute must. Whether wandering quaint streets, tasting local wines, or simply soaking in the quiet beauty of the coast, Argentario offers an intimate, soulful escape unlike anywhere else.
